This scholarship is offered in the memory of Maren Davis whose life was sadly cut short in 2021. Maren leaves behind a legacy of promoting archives and libraries. Generously, Maren volunteered her time and energy to help Sherman Library maintain its archival collections. Maren will be remembered for her strong library skills and enthusiasm for preserving history among many other wonderful traits. Her talents are memorialized in this scholarship to benefit future generations of talented archivists.
Scholarship Eligibility – Applicant Must:
• Demonstrate an interest to the studies of librarianship, archives, and/or the history of Southern California.
• Enrolled in community college or a university.
• Maintain at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
This $1000 scholarship is offered exclusively for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. It does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, disability, age, gender, or religion.
The deadline to submit applications for this scholarship is August 2, 2024 for the Fall 2024 semester or quarter. The recipient will be notified on August 23. Further submission details can be found on the application.
