Pardon Our Dust! From March 9-27, Admission is Free.
From March 9-27, we are laying important pipes and will close the pathway that leads to
the Central Gardens at Sherman Library & Gardens. ADMISSION WILL BE FREE during this time, as our footprint will be significantly restricted.
You can still enjoy our Adobe Courtyard, orchid display, pepper tree and train display, and the succulent garden. Our Garden Shop remains open as well. Garden hours
remain 10:30 am – 4 pm during this time.
As you may know, Sherman Library & Gardens is undergoing a renovation that will help our roots run deeper. We are updating aging infrastructure, enhancing our botanical displays, protecting treasured collections, and cultivating greater sustainability.
Sherman will remain open and eager to welcome members and guests during this exciting season of growth. While some areas may be temporarily off the garden path, the rest of the gardens will continue to offer the beauty, inspiration, and enrichment that keep our community blooming.
As we Grow the Gardens, we are planting the seeds for new programs, deeper connections, and even more vibrant experiences for our members. During this period of transformation, your membership helps us stay rooted, nurture what’s blooming, and keep Sherman thriving in every season.
And yes, there may be a few growing pains, but every great garden needs a little tending along the way.

On select Tuesdays of the month, join us for engaging evening talks led by subject matter experts on nature, history, wellness and more!
