“One of our favorite memories at Sherman Library & Gardens was the Newport Beach Summer Garden Party – not only was it chance for me to show my arts and crafts prowess by making Jacqueline’s fascinator by hand, but more importantly, it was a way for our community came together and inspire lifelong learning opportunities for the next generation here in Orange County through the Habitat Explorers program.

As a member, Sherman Library & Gardens has had an enormous impact in our family. We both lead quite busy lives both at home and at work, so spending quality time together and with family at Sherman whether through painting classes or events in the garden allows us a beautiful space to pause and reflect.

To us, Sherman Library & Gardens represents something truly special – a place that highlights our shared history, allows us to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds, and think about the kind of place we want to leave for future generations to come here in Orange County.”
