Step into a world shaped by nature and reimagined through mosaic. Inspired By Nature features the work of Southern California mosaic artist Irina Charny, whose intricate creations transform glass, stone, porcelain, and found objects into vibrant works inspired by the beauty of the natural world.

From flowers and butterflies to birds and landscapes, Charny finds inspiration in the patterns, textures, and details that surround us. Each mosaic is made from countless individual fragments, carefully brought together to create something harmonious, expressive, and alive.

Charny’s fascination with mosaics began in childhood in the former Soviet Union, where she created collages from broken glass, shells, rocks, and other treasures she collected. A self-taught artist, she has continued to develop her craft by combining traditional mosaic techniques with a contemporary, nature-inspired aesthetic.

Like a garden, each work in Inspired By Nature is composed of many unique pieces that become something greater when brought together. As you explore the exhibition, take a closer look at the intricate details, unexpected textures, and small fragments that make up each piece.
