Workshop: Using Pastel to Create a Floral Still Life

March 2, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learn the basics of pastel technique from artist Gianne de Genevraye and take inspiration from the garden. This outdoor workshop, in a non-competitive atmosphere, will include practical exercises to understand the technique of pastel painting, understanding light direction and shadow and negative space.  We will complete a finished drawing of a simple floral composition from the garden.

Our instructor, Gianne de Genevraye, specializes in painting public places and gardens in Europe and the United States. She describes herself as a contemporary nature painter and has exhibited widely. Born in California, she studied art at UCI and now divides her time between France, Italy and California.

All supplies included.
