Workshop: ‘Tea for Two’ Bee Watering Station

May 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Workshop - ‘Tea for Two’ Bee Watering Station | Sherman Library and Gardens

Join instructor Debra Mauzy-Melitz, on World Bee Day to create two bee watering stations using decorative china.  Bees need water and these tiny Bee-Cups were created to help bees obtain water without encouraging mosquitoes.  The Bee-Cups studio also invented UV-reactive glazes that make the cups look more like flowers to bees.  The class includes two projects – a teacup using Bee-Cup and broken pieces with the UV-reactive glaze; and a second “watering station” using a technique similar to making a moss ball.  You will decorate each water station using baby tears, sedum, broken pieces, shells and crystals.  Join us, have fun and help these important pollinators on their day!
