Join us on Saturday, August 28, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for the Summer Garden Party, our premier annual event.
Hosted throughout our 2.2 acres of lush botanical gardens, the Summer Garden Party is a fun-filled, mission-focused evening complete with supper from 608 Dahlia, live music, a silent auction, a raffle, and much more!
Each year, our Summer Garden Party features an exciting silent auction and raffle, including unique pieces of art, trips, and the ever-popular harbor cruise with dinner prepared by our Executive Director, Scott LaFleur.
And you don’t want to miss the spectacular garden party hat contest! Prizes will be awarded for a variety of categories. Will you be a contestant or a spectator?
Summer Garden Party highlights include:

Tickets
Individual tickets to attend the Summer Garden Party are $60 for Members and $80 for Non-Members and include entry to the Summer Garden Party. Each guest will also receive a link to view this year’s virtual garden tour featuring the Bayshore home of R.C. and Beverly Cohen. Tickets to view the Garden Tour video (only) are $30. Proceeds support Sherman Library & Gardens’ education programs and classroom enhancements.
Newport Beach Virtual Garden Tour
Available on May 13, 2023, all supporters of the Summer Garden Party and Virtual Garden Tour ticket purchasers will receive a link to our Virtual Garden Tour which features the exceptional gardens of R.C. and Beverly Cohen. The Bayshore property, once owned by John Wayne, is best described as a “mini botanical garden.” The exquisite landscaping includes an orchid house, a stunning bromeliad collection, and topiary giraffes, all complemented by a collection of Buddha statues acquired through the Cohens’ travels.
The video will make its debut on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14, 2023, and will be available to watch and re-watch at your leisure, from the comfort of your home.
