Mosaic Workshop: Spring Garden Planter - Join David Jarvinen and create a wonderful mosaic planter using broken dishes. Begin with a terracotta base, add your colorful broken dishes and make a statement for your garden. A grout kit to go for applying once the adhesive dries (24 hours). Please bring brown bag lunch & beverage.
Go beyond Sherman’s garden gates on a Members-Only Excursion with Crystal Cove Conservancy. This guided coastal experience blends history, ecology, and hands-on stewardship at of one of Orange County’s pristine costal preserves. The program begins with a brief introduction to the Crystal Cove Historic District, followed by a coastal ecology walk exploring the local ecosystem, coastal geology, marine conservation, and native versus invasive species.
Join our very own Joel Friesen who will show you how to care for Cymbidium orchids which are among the hardiest outdoor orchids one can grow in Southern California. An overview will be provided covering what it takes to grow these orchids successfully, followed by a hands-on workshop where you will divide and repot an orchid to take home with you. Bring a garden apron and be prepared to get a little messy!
