The Reflection Garden

Sherman Library & Gardens has been part of the fabric of people’s lives for nearly 60 years. Whether Sherman is your place for celebrating important life events or for finding respite in a busy world, The Gardens have much to offer to enrich lives throughout our community. In addition to offering a peaceful oasis, Sherman is an important resource for horticultural and historical collections and a vital gateway to the community’s natural beauty and rich history.

REFLECT WITH US on Sherman Library & Gardens’ impact on your life. The new Reflection Garden will be a place of quiet contemplation and joy. Donors will be able to honor loved ones and special occasions with commemorative Reflection Bricks lining the pathway. This peaceful sunken garden will be a calm space to escape a busy day and allow visitors the time to be still.

A place for remembering, a place for love, a place for legacy

Sherman Library & Gardens is pleased to announce Grow The Gardens commemorative Reflection Bricks for purchase! Friends of Sherman Library & Gardens have the opportunity to commemorate their special connections to the library and gardens and consider donating to the Grow the Gardens Campaign to reserve a Reflection Brick that will be placed in the Reflection Garden.

The bricks reflect on the seasons of life: love, new beginnings, memorials, family, special connections, and the founders of Sherman Library & Gardens.

“Sherman Gardens is an amazing place where we enjoy the beauty of the plants and animals (pollinators, turtles, koi, and Julius!) as well as learn about the history of early California. We feel at peace at Sherman, which brings our senses very much into the present while also reminding us of the past. It’s a wonderful place!”
