Tea Garden
One of the oldest gathering places in The Gardens, the Tea Garden, originally called the Coffee Garden, is where food service began at Sherman Library & Gardens. The Junior League of Newport Beach would serve a light lunch out of the Tea Garden window. The Tea Garden is a beautiful oasis with water, shade awnings, tables and chairs that allow visitors to enjoy each other’s company. It’s a place of calm and respite. It’s also frequently used for exhibitions, lectures, and parties as well as a favored photographic spot for families and visitors and those taking their wedding vows. We are grateful to Gail and Peter Ochs’ support to help us rebuild and improve the Tea Garden.
“For over 30 years we have enjoyed the oasis of Sherman Gardens in the center of our town, Corona Del Mar. It’s a respite place of natural beauty & peacefulness. Now, we’re happy we can be part of the sensitive, creative development to serve our community for the future. And, how exciting to have so many young families involved.”
