Writing Wednesdays - Positive Journaling | Sherman Library & Gardens

If you’re like most people, your week is full of schedules and do-do lists. Why not take a break and spend a quiet Saturday morning fostering healthy habits, while enjoying the serenity of the garden? The Weekend Wellness Workshop will focus on nurturing wellness through practices of positive journalling, mindfulness, and yoga surrounded by the beauty of nature. Research shows that this can boost optimism, increase positive emotions and enhance physical and mental well-being. What better place to plant seeds of happiness than in the natural beauty of the garden?  

There is no need to be an experienced writer or yoga practitioner to enjoy the benefits of this fun and uplifting practice. Writing materials will be provided.  

Ellen Bell is an author and freelance writer. She is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher with a specialty in the practice of Positive Journaling for wellness.
