Sherman Library & Gardens offers an inspired line-up of classes and events every month for you to enjoy! With offerings ranging from wellness workshops and children’s activities, to floral design classes, lectures in the library, and plant shows, there is something for everyone to experience.
Mosaic Workshop: Hummingbird

Hummingbirds are fun to observe in a home garden, flitting around from flower to flower flashing their bright colors in the sunlight. Join mosaic artist David Jarvinen to make a mosaic hummingbird that can hang on the wall outside or inside. Using colorful glass tiles, learn to define different body parts and discovering nipping, fitting and gluing techniques in the process.
An easy-to-use grout kit will be provided to complete at home after the adhesive cures.
There are no formal breaks in the class but please bring please bring lunch or snacks & beverages to consume as needed.
