Stroll Through a Working Urban Farm at Bluebird Canyon Larm (Laguna Beach)
Join us for a Sherman Member Excursion that will meander through Bluebird Canyon Farm, a 15-acre biodynamic farm and design center in the heart of Laguna Beach. This guided tour will describe the history of the farm and its impressive current operations.
Participants will see the gardens and the koi pond, learn about the aquaponics system, hangout with farm animals (including giant tortoise Momo) and more. After a 60-minute tour the excursion will conclude with a tasting of some of the offerings from Bluebird’s Cottage Kitchen. Guests will also be invited to check out the weekly farm stand with organic produce and curated artisanal products.
Transportation
Members are responsible for their own transportation to and from the farm. Parking is very limited, and staff will assist you in finding a designated parking spot. Specific parking instructions will be provided to participants in advance of the excursion. Please allow yourself time to park—our tour will begin promptly at 12 pm.
Accessibility
This is a rigorous 1-hour walking tour. The farm terrain covers a hillside with lots of stairs and sloped roads. Please wear sensible shoes, and sun protection (a hat, sunscreen, and water is advised).
