Clivia Show and Sale – Sherman Library and Gardens

Clivia Show and Sale

Clivia Show and Sale
Presented by the North American Clivia Society

Saturday, March 18 & Sunday, March 19, 2023
10:30 am – 4 pm

Visit the largest Clivia show in North America, featuring an amazing array of forms and varieties

The show will include plants with attractive pastel shades and interesting leaf variegation and textures, as well as the familiar orange and yellow flowering varieties. It’s a judged show, so the prized blooms and forms on show are not usually available for the public to view. Categories include cut blooms, florets, potted plants and photos. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite entry in the show. The winner will be awarded the “People’s Choice” award.”

Go home with your own Clivia plant! Clivia plants are shade-loving plants that are easy to grow in Southern California.  Shop at the sales area for beautiful and unusual plants at good prices that are not available at your local nurseries.

Drop by to talk to the North Amercian Clivia Society members who will be available to talk to visitors. They are all serious clivia breeders who love to share their extensive knowledge of cultivating clivia. Learn about Clivia care and flower arranging with Clivia at the free, drop-in demonstrations.

This year’s Clivia Show and Sale at Sherman Library & Gardens celebrates the show’s 20th anniversary for the North American Clivia Society. The first show was at the Fullerton Arboretum, before moving to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens and now Sherman Library & Gardens.

The North American Clivia Society promotes and develops knowledge regarding the planting, cultivating, plant breeding, growing, showing, care, feeding, watering, nutrition, treatment and disease prevention of all varieties, relatives and derivatives of the clivia plant.
