Come see a huge variety of begonias on display at the Southern California Begonia Society Show and Sale! Discover a wild and wonderful display of specimens in the exhibition and pick your favorite from the plant sale to take home.

The Southern California Begonia Society comprises amateur growers whose backyard nurseries yield fabulous specimens and an unusual range of leaf variation and growth habit. There are over 1800+ Begonia species and hybrids are constantly being developed. The exhibition will include various types of begonias including canes, tuberous, rhizomatous and Rex. Mature examples will be displayed in pots and terrariums – and many of the same begonias will be available to buy.

Free Demonstration and Q&A: Begonias in Terrariums

Learn how to make terrariums and grow Begonias in them. Many tropical Begonias require high humidity in order to thrive and growing them in terrariums makes this possible. Tour of the Sherman Begonia Collection and Specimen Shade House

Did you know that Sherman Library & Gardens has a collection of over 150 Begonias? Join Sherman Horticulturist, Amy Dolim, for a deep dive into the highlights.
