Born in Minnesota, Darwin Duncan moved with his family to California when he was five. He studied landscape painting with master painters Edgar Payne, and Sam Hyde Harris. Duncan taught for sixteen years at Orange Coast College. His career as a draftsman for Richfield Oil Company spanned thirty-two years. His work includes landscapes of Orange County, the High Sierra, and desert scenes.
