Grow The Gardens Fundraiser at Lido Theater

Sherman Library & Gardens was proud to host an evening benefitting their Grow The Gardens campaign at the iconic Lido Theater. The beloved theater opened its door in 1939 and brought the golden age of Hollywood to Newport Beach. 1939 was also the same year the historic Adobe at Sherman Library Gardens was built. Both the Lido Theater and Sherman Library & Gardens are cultural Historic Treasures of Newport Beach. Thanks to the Fritz Duda company the art deco theater has been restored to its glory and also thanks to the Fritz Duda company all of the evening’s proceeds were donated to help Sherman Library & Gardens’ Grow The Gardens Campaign.
Sherman Library & Gardens provides inspiration, education, and appreciation of regional history, horticulture, and the arts for all. Established in 1966, Sherman is a vital gateway to the community’s natural beauty and rich history that must be shared further with the community! By supporting the Grow the Gardens campaigns, donors are supporting the incredible improvements and program expansions to a cherished non-profit and public asset. The results will blossom immediately and for generations to come!
