Air Plant Mounting Class

Discover the beauty and versatility of air plants, also known as Tillandsia, in this hands-on and informative workshop. Native to tropical and subtropical regions across the Americas, these fascinating plants are perfectly suited to coastal California and are surprisingly easy to care for.

You’ll be guided step-by-step in creating your own mounted display using a selection of tillandsia and natural grapewood or similar materials. Along the way, you’ll learn essential care techniques including light, watering, airflow, propagation, plant lifecycles, and fertilizing, giving you the knowledge and confidence to keep your plants thriving long after the workshop ends.

Led by our in-house tropical plant specialist, Dylan, whose extensive experience includes traveling through the tropics to study and photograph hundreds of species, this class blends hands-on design with approachable plant science.
