Talk and Q&A: Winter Rose Gardening in Southern California

January 16 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Talk and Q&A - Winter Rose Gardening in Southern California | Sherman Library & Gardens

Join Marilyn Carne-Smith from the Orange County Rose Society for a timely talk about caring for your roses and bringing out the best in them. She will cover the ten principles of rose pruning and offer detailed guidance on winter rose gardening in Southern California.

Marilyn grew up with a Mom who loved roses, only her mom just didn’t like taking care of them. Marilyn began winter cut back duties at a young age but has since learned, during her retirement years, that there should be more thought involved than simply hacking them back.   As a Consulting Rosarian for the American Rose Society, Marilyn enjoys sharing those reasons every January with fellow rose growers.  Come with your questions!

Free talk. Registration recommended.
