Photography Class: The Magic of Golden Light

May 16 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Learn how to transform your afternoon photos into magical garden wonders. Enjoy a two hour class in the garden when it’s closed to the public and explore the magic of afternoon sunlight –  often called ‘the golden hour’, or ‘golden light’. Local photographer, Jeanine Hill, will begin by discussing backlighting, light, bokeh, and macro photography. You’ll then venture out in the garden and take photos with her guidance, followed by a lesson in editing on the iPad.

Jeanine has been working as a commercial photographer for over 35 years in Orange County with clients including Disneyland and seven local Universities. When the pandemic struck she started coming to the Sherman every week to photograph the garden and discovered a new passion for flower photography.

Bring to class: cell phone (if that is your camera), DSLR, mirrorless camera, or a ‘point and shoot’ digital camera. If you have an iPad and use photoshop, download photoshop express from the App Store so Jeanine can demonstrate editing.

Class size is limited to ensure social distancing guidelines.  All participants must wear a face mask.

Fee: $55 Member / $65 Non-Member
