Adam Toth – International Bonsai Artist Demonstration – May 21

May 21, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Presented by the Orange Empire Bonsai Society

Drop-in to the Sherman Succulent Garden and watch some of the finest international bonsai artists demonstrate their craft. They will be working on a number of trees and available to answer questions.

The Sherman Library and Gardens’ guest bonsai artist on May 21st is Adam Toth. Adam spent three years as an apprentice of renowned bonsai sensai, Taiga Uruahibata San, at the Taisho-en in Shizuoka, Japan, near Mt. Fuji; and received an official shohin certificate from the Japanese Shohin Bonsai Association.

Adam will share his knowledge, especially of Shohin bonsai, which are exceptionally small trees, no taller than 10 inches (25cm) tall.

Adam now works with Jonas Dupuich at Bonsai Tonight.
