The 8-acre property is home to more than 135 diverse species made up of California natives\, cacti and succulent gardens\, and more than 135 roses.This very special tour will be led by John Bishop\, who currently leads the team of volunteers who tend the gardens of Mission San Juan Capistrano. John has a very special connection to Sherman Library & Gardens; he began his career at Sherman Library & Gardens the same year that it opened to the public in 1966\, and served as Sherman’s Manager of Horticulture for more than 20 years.This will be a most special glimpse into the gardens of a Southern California landmark led by a true expert in the field of horticulture. We can’t wait to see you there! TransportationMembers are responsible for their own transportation to and from Mission San Juan Capistrano. Public parking is available in the surrounding streets near the Mission.
